The Church Council consists of the Pastors and all elected Elders and Deacons. The prime purpose of council is to promote a total kingdom vision for Calvin CRC by setting out a strategic plan for each year and reviewing progress of this plan during the year. 

The Council Executive has delegated authority for administering the day-to-day affairs of the church, and overseeing the implementation of decisions made by Council. It provides strategic leadership and oversight for all church ministries and directs the management of its resources. It normally meets on the 3rd Monday of each month.

The Council Executive normally comprises the Chair of Council/Consistory, the Chair of Deacons, the Clerk of Council/Consistory, the Chair of the Finance Committee and the Vice-Chair of Consistory.

The Council Executive is considered to be the legal "Board of Directors" of Calvin Christian Reformed Church.
